Disc Amplifier Assembly

The Cleanroom Complex of the Central Laser Facility has over 20 years experience in the assembly, handling and maintenance of Neodymium Glass Laser Disc amplifiers. The Vulcan laser system uses disc amplifiers for large aperture beam amplification at apertures of 108 mm, 150 mm and 208 mm with single pass small signal gains of 10, 4 and 2 respectively. All disc amplifiers are expertly assembled in our class 100 clean assembly area with all mechanical parts being meticulously cleaned in a high pressure water spray system.
